Description
The 7.62×63mm, more commonly known as the .30-06 Springfield, is one of the most iconic rifle cartridges in military and civilian history. It was officially adopted by the U.S. military in 1906 (hence the name “06”) and remained in service as a standard-issue cartridge until the late 1950s, when it was replaced by the 7.62×51mm NATO.
